The first one is a 1930 MG "M-Type". The body is covered in leather!!!

Guess if your car isn't all that reliable, the next best thing is to provide this very cool trouble light as a factory accessory. Note the spool to wind up the cord. There were two receptacles almost like the front of a meter on the dash, into which this light plugged.

This is a 1935 MG "PA" owned by a man from Kent (WA, not England). Note the supercharger!!

These cars are both amazingly small.
Except odds are the trouble light on a British car is not gonna work when you need it.
ReplyDeleteHaving been to England, and traveled a bit through the countryside, where it seems that a pub pops up every 200 meters or so, perhaps I can understand their lack of insistence on a 100% dispatch reliability.
