Went to the Cossacks practice tonight, and I rode through the drills with them for my very first time. I actually did pretty well. Most of them are not as hard as I thought they might be. It was AWESOME, and now I am thoroughly addicted. Jimmy, one of the smaller "top men" also crawled all over the 38U while I was riding it, so I could get the feel for what that was like. The one thing I need to practice is riding in formation with my left hand off the bars. I tend to want to use the front brake, when I need to be using the back. I also want to adjust me back brake so the pedal is farther down when it grabs...
It was a perfect day. The U ran great over and back, and the weather was gorgeous. Captain Sam provided me with a tailight I think I can use, and a rear fender half with the "pignose" shroud I need. Also an old set of panhead bars. Getting there!
Sweet!!!
From where I sit, the above entry is totally understated compared to how Flathead45 was acting when he got home... sheesh! He was one totally psyched extremely happy beyond the outer bounds of joy individual!!!
