Leak free!

Well, okay, an old Harley that isn't leaking somewhere is empty of oil. I just mean that I got the oil lines to the oil tank sealed up.

On closer inspection, the flare angle is different between the OEM harley flare fittings on the engine, and the repop flare fittings on the V-Twin tank. I think the flare angle on the tank fittings is 37 degrees, which is AN standard. The original Harley fittings are 30 degrees, according to Fuzzy (but I'll bet they seal better). For reference, standard SAE (automotive) flare fittings are 45 degrees.

I had to make two custom mandrels to flare at the right angle. Turned by putting them in a drill motor and using it in conjunction with the bench grinder...

I swear I would be a frickin genius with real tools!
