Ride and Drive Day

To celebrate the first truly decent weather in a long time, I decided it was time to get every member of the Root mechanical menagerie running and driving today.

Started on the 38U. Rode to Bent Bike in Auburn and then to Nate's house to drip some oil in his driveway. The primary oiler is still dripping too much.

Then I rode the 45". Three kicks to prime, and started on the first kick. Ran flawlessly. Made me feel unfaithful for riding the 74" first... Need to bring in some reinforcements from NM to run the two bikes together. I talked about selling the 45", and Lynn said she might think about learning to ride it...

Took Lynn to Fred Meyer in the Plymouth. Then drove the jeep to Nate's Dad's house to drop off a housewarming gift. Finished up with a drive in the Sprite.

Needless to say, Al Gore would not approve of my carbon footprint ( and trail of 50wt) today.

  1. Cool stuff. Did you manage to get the U up to speed yesterday? Thanks for posting some nice big pics. We may have to work out a Sarge ride for V while we are up there. I think he's gonna end up in Lopez most of the time we are there.
