I stumbled across this very cool site with Seattle area racing and hill climbing pictures from '45 up to '53. Queen City Motorcycle Club, Jolly Rogers, Bremerton Motorcycle club.
Hard to imagine trying to toss around a heavy old 45" the way these guys did... Check the Tacoma 1953 pictures for the start of the British Invasion... Be sure to look at the "Mud Run" pictures too!
I had the honor of meeting the gentleman in this picture (Cliff Stering) at last year's Cossack banquet.
